Rabòday will tell a story of connection, culture, and transformation.

Through dance, drumming, conversation, and demonstration, we’ll explore folkloric Rabòday alongside the modern day music that shares its name. How do rhythm, movement , and language evolve as they travel through generations and culture? This workshop invites us to get curious: What do we recognize? How does knowing where something comes from deepen the way we experience it today? Together, we’ll discover what these expressions may share as we experience folkloric Rabòday in dance and drum to celebrate 20 years of Peniel Guerrier’s Kriye Bode dance community!
