Join us for an Open Level Bachata Class at Fit4Dance. We offer a welcoming space to learn the fundamentals, improve your body movement, build confidence, and connect with others on the dance floor. No experience needed. No partner needed. Just come as you are.

Beverly Lopez is a Bronx native, dancer, choreographer, educator, and founder of REDi Dance Company. She’s an adjunct professor of Latin Dance at Lehman College, co-founder of ¡Dame Tu Pasito! Bachata Party, and an artist deeply committed to healing, community, and celebrating movement rooted in the African Diaspora. Her classes blend technique, culture, connection, and joy in such a beautiful way.

Whether you’ve always wanted to try bachata or you’re looking to sharpen your skills and meet amazing people, this class is for YOU.

Lit Fit is the dance fitness class of my dreams! The combination of Laci's fun choreo and her upbeat playlist makes this a joyful sweaty workout. I feel great (and grateful) after each class.

I used to go to a Caribbean Zumba class at the Bed-study YMCA every week, but it mysteriously disappeared. It was a weekly dose of joy. I was at a loss for a few years, doing other, much less fun things to work out. This January I did a class pass trial and this place popped up, a few blocks from my house. Seriously it was a dream come true. I even asked myself if I was dreaming, no joke! :)

The work out is great and the staff and owner are INCREDIBLY sweet and welcoming to everyone. I don't really fit in anywhere, for the most part, and I've tried most NYC gyms over the past 20 years I've been living here. We all know the sort of attitude that is prevalent in many gyms. Not here. Illy welcomed me with open arms, and her vibe is contagiously carried out through other folks in the class.

More recently, I've been doing Beach Body workouts at home because I have an irregular work schedule that doesn't let me make it to classed, but it gets hard to stay motivated. Sometimes I need that group energy to really work up a sweat. I'm so glad I found Fit4Dance. I hear they are moving to a new larger space soon, and I pray they stay in the neighborhood! ~Em S.

This place has been my saving grace! I used to dance in grade school, and it was one of the most joyous times in my life. I stumbled upon fit4dance while on Yelp looking for dance classes close to home, and I am so happy I did!!!! Attending Zumba with Laci Chisholm (f4d owner) is not only fun and challenging, but you are inspired by her spirit and the spirit of the women dancing to your left and right. Being a woman with a demanding job and home life as a wife and mom, I am grateful to be able to go dance after work and on weekends as I learn to give back to myself and my health. Last time I seriously danced was in college. Fast forward 7 years and 2 kids I have a bit more jiggle in my wiggle, so I was very nervous and self conscious about dancing again.
