SU-CASA Grant - Teresa Moore Senior Center

Laci was awarded a 2020 Su Casa Award for the 4th year in a row! SU-CASA awards are single-year awards made to individual artists in order to provide arts programs for older adults in senior centers throughout New York City. The awards were recommended by a panel consisting of representatives from Department for the Aging, Department of Cultural Affairs, the greater creative aging field, and the Brooklyn Arts Council. The panel made the specific placement based on the strength of Laci’s proposal and the interests of the senior center.

Fit4Dance Honors our Community of Women During Women's History Month

Even though we celebrate women everyday at Fit4Dance, the month of March is dedicated to honoring women. We have some of the most incredible, talented, beautiful, powerful and inspiring women this world has to offer. We are blessed that they are a part of the Fit4Dance community. We'll be posting about these women during the month of March-- everyday women, women that have similar stories as us, women that have defied odds, women that are entrepreneurs, women that are seeking purpose, women that are mothers, women that are choosing life. If you are visiting Fit4Dance this month, you will also see our updated Wall of Fame that honors these women and shares their stories.

Valentine's Day Beauty Basket Drive

From now until February 4th, Fit4Dance is collecting beauty and wellness products for the women at BCS’ Transitional Living Community and TPBK’s Shelter for Young Women. These two shelters serve women in a transitional space in their lives. Some are living with mental health conditions, others have dealt with domestic violence, and many just need a safe place to stay. Learn more!
